Lochland Country Club is known for a beautiful design by noted Chicago golf architect, David Gill. The first nine holes were completed and opened for play in 1962. Labeled the "Jewel of southwest Nebraska", Cross Creek Golf Links is a championship 18 hole course located in Cambridge, NE. Stretching over 7,200 yards, it was the longest course in the state when it opened in 2001. Cross Creek is enjoyable for all player levels, from beginner to professionals.

Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course is located just west of Ainsworth on Hwy 20. A fairly flat course with narrow fairways may seem benign to the golfer at first, but the greens provide a stern test due to their crowned nature. The rough is fairly forgiving, providing golfers an opportunity to recover from wayward shots. The course offers a few memorable shots, including the tee shot on the par-3 2nd hole and the dogleg 5th hole which is rated the toughest hole. Enjoy your time at Ainsworth Golf Course!

Fairbury Country Club is a winding, hilly layout with an intimidating aspect to much of its scenery. Located on the slopes of the Little Blue River Valley just south of Fairbury, the course invites golfers of all abilities to enjoy this picturesque and challenging layout. Much of the course's difficulty is attributable to the fact that six of the nine tees are blind to the flag, leaving you confused about the proper line. The Fairways at Lincoln is a regulation 9-hole golf course featuring four sets of tees. Fox Hollow stretches across valleys, ridges, and mild slopes on the east side of Sutton. It is named for the population of native foxes that roam the area. The course has character, being defined by trees, ponds and some mild elevation changes. The 9th tee is the highest point on the course with a grand view. Three holes are noted for their challenge. The 6th is one of the few 600 yard par 5's in the state. A pond gives the 7th some teeth. The 1st can be tough if you decide to cut the corner on the dogleg. A new pond was also added on the west side of #3 fairway. Trees, hills, and out of bounds await a less than perfect effort.

Friend Country Club is friendly to those with an eye for golf scenery and an itch for quality golf. Rich, healthy fairways wind their way to well-conditioned greens. Bunkers, a creek, and a variety of trees come into play. Raised tees on numbers 2, 3, and 9 provide aesthetic previews of fun to follow. The design of the course utilizes the terrain's natural knolls and gullies to their full extent.

Hartington Golf Course, one of the premier golf courses in Northeast Nebraska, is located west of Highway 57 on Felber Street. The 9-hole course features a mixture of tree-lined holes over varying terrain. The course record of 28 was set in 1994 by local resident Jason Merkel. The facility itself was built in 1949 and features bent grass greens and winter rye fairways. Although there are no water hazards on the course, there are a multitude of bunkers. Just a ¼ mile outside of Geneva to the northwest side sits Hidden Hills Country Club. A course that will test your accuracy on all shots during a round. Spraying off the tee isn’t ideal for this course, because narrow fairways are lined with many mature trees. Hidden Hills isn’t known for the hazards, having only three bunkers and a creek that runs through the center of the course. It's well known for the many opportunities to go out of bounds. With six of nine holes having out of bounds right; pushing it right can be punishing. The course is favorable for people who hit the ball all distances and rewards good wedge play. Hidden Hills greens are very small and gives many chances for one to put on a putting display. These fairly flat greens do have hidden twists and turns that can be tough to see while standing over the ball. Hidden Hills is perfect for any age and skill level of golfer to have fun and enjoy a day on the course.

Hebron Country Club is an open, mildly rolling course. The fairways consist of a mixture of grasses. The rough is seeded and cut to a very playable height. The bentgrass greens are midsize. Some have significant slope to them. There are enough bumps and swales on some holes that it is helpful to have played the course before in order to know where the level spots are. The par 8th is the toughest hole. It's uphill all the way to a small green with out-of-bounds behind the green. It is especially difficult during the summer months when it plays into the wind.

Take a short drive to one of the most scenic golf course settings in Nebraska just south of Omaha at Beaver Lake. Opened to the public in the fall of 1999, Lake Ridge Golf Course is a 9-hole, par-36, 2,861-yard course. Championship-size greens and a links-style layout provide the novice golfer with an enjoyable round of golf, while still challenging to the avid golfer with strategically placed lakes, rolling hill fairways, and well-placed bunkers.

Lakeview rides along two ridges high above the southeast corner of Lewis and Clark Lake. The land is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers who used massive amounts of dirt from the site to build Gavins Point Dam. Almost every fairway is narrow, steeply sloped, and heavily wooded along one side or the other with oak trees. Most of the greens are small with sharp drop-offs. The picturesque 5th hole looks out onto Lewis and Clark Lake and the view is worth the price of admission. Enjoy this treasure of Nebraska Golf!

Minden Country Club sits between the airport and Pioneer Village in Minden. Awaiting golfers is an open course with scattered trees, lush well-cared-for fairways, and smooth greens. A creek winds diagonally through the course, cutting across seven holes. You'll find mostly level lies, though some fairways have natural swales and ripples.

Old Dane, formerly known as Iron Horse and designed by Terry Johnson, was originally an 18 hole course constructed in 2000. The course was run from 2001 to 2005 until it was bought by the Andersens. After 5 years of letting it sit vacant, the family redesigned it and turned it into a beautiful 9-hole facility. After the reopening in 2012, Old Dane has been known as the best course in Dakota City. Tightly cut tee boxes, firm and fast fairways, and greens pure like the driven snow. Quit golfing the plain and come to the Dane.

Pierce Golf Course was redesigned and expanded in length in 1992. Originally all nine holes were to the north of the stand of trees that now bisects the layout. Plainview Country Club is a fine layout that has served as a place of leisure and recreation for local residents since 1925. The dogleg third changes in elevation and its fairway twists and bends uphill around a deep tree lined pit that runs up to the green.
